My name is Taylor Cyr (pronounced like “seer”), and I am a lecturer in the philosophy department at Washington University in St. Louis. I completed my Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of California, Riverside in the spring of 2018, and before that I received my MA (also in philosophy) from Florida State University in the spring of 2013.

My main interests lie at the intersection of metaphysics and ethics. I work mainly on free will and moral responsibility, but I am also interested in death, immortality, time, and personal identity.

You can find out more about my work on the other pages of this site or by checking out my CV.
